Who we are
Francroyable (the app, and the service behind it) is provided by EIRL John Dudmesh, SIRET 88210291600013, 2 Chemin des Houltières, 50150 Beauficel, France (“we”). Contact: help@francroyable.com.
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the app.
Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
- You must be at least 15 to use Francroyable.
- One account is for one person.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, or as described on Delete your account.
Using Francroyable
Francroyable is for learning French for your own use. Please don’t:
- use it to break the law, or to store or generate content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexual involving minors;
- try to get around credits, daily limits or other limits, or use the app’s AI features through automated means;
- try to reach other people’s data, disrupt the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
- resell the service or the content it generates.
Your content
The cards, decks and chats you create remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run the app for you, including sending text to our service providers as the privacy policy describes.
Because spoken audio is shared between everyone with the same sentence, don’t put personal information in a card sentence you play aloud.
AI-generated content
The magic wand, wand decks and Chat use artificial intelligence. Their output can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable: a translation may miss a nuance, a “wrong” answer may in fact be acceptable, or an explanation may be mistaken. Check anything important with another source. You can edit or delete any card.
Credits
- What they are. Credits pay for AI features: one credit makes one card with the magic wand, or sends one chat message once the day’s free messages are used. Built-in topics, learning, audio and adding cards by hand don’t use credits.
- Free credits. New accounts get 25 credits. We may change the free allowance, the number of free chat messages, or what a feature costs in credits; changes don’t affect credits you’ve already bought.
- Buying credits. You buy credits in the app through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment, under Apple’s terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- No expiry, no cash value. Credits don’t expire while your account exists. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred to another account and can’t be exchanged for money.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a purchase, Apple tells us, and we remove the credits it added, as far as you haven’t used them.
- Right of withdrawal. Credits are delivered to your account as soon as you buy them. By buying, you ask for them to be delivered immediately and accept that you then lose the 14-day right of withdrawal, as the EU consumer rules allow for digital content.
- Deleting your account deletes any credits left on it.
The service
We work to keep Francroyable available and your data safe, but the app is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever close the service, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless it’s urgent or the law prevents it, we’ll tell you why first, and you can reply.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under French and EU law.
Otherwise, we aren’t liable for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for losses caused by your breach of these terms, or for business losses (Francroyable is for personal use).
The App Store
If you got the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app itself. Apple has no responsibility for the service or for supporting it; contact us instead.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change affects you significantly we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If you have a complaint, contact us first at help@francroyable.com and we’ll try to resolve it. You can also go to court. If you’re a consumer living in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer laws, and you can bring a claim in your country’s courts.
